| Specimen Required: | 1 green-top heparin gel tube or 1 gold top serum gel tube. Centrifuge to separate and remove serum/plasma from cells within 3 hours. Send 1.0 mL (minimum volume 0.5 mL) serum or plasma, refrigerated. |
| Patient Prep: | Fasting. Nothing by mouth except water and any required medications for 12 hours before being drawn.
Patient should not consume any alcohol for 24 hours before the specimen is drawn. |
