Specimen Required: 1 full 6 mL pink top (EDTA) tube or 3 mL purple top EDTA filled.  Invert gently 8 times immediately after collection to mix and prevent clotting.  Send whole blood in original tube refrigerated.  Do not separate.  Stable at room temperature 3 days, refrigerated 1 week.
