Submit one of the following:
Serum 1 plain red top serum tube or 1 gold top serum gel tube. Send 1.0 mL of serum removed from the fully clotted whole blood (plain red or serum gel tube) and transferred to a sterile labeled tube.
CSF 1.0 mL cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).should be aseptically collected and transferred to a sterile labeled screw-top tube.
Store/transport specimen refrigerated.
